CBS paid the president of the United States millions in bribe money and now they censor news reports so it does not annoy him. I donβt know how much plainer we can put this.
CBS paid the president of the United States millions in bribe money and now they censor news reports so it does not annoy him. I donβt know how much plainer we can put this.
And then there are days where you wonder whether everything is worth it.
Oh dear! Letβs remedy that! Iβll dm you.
Now would be a great time to try the new world economy that functions without money.
Money is made up, letβs just cancel it and move to meeting peopleβs needs as a basic function of society. We donβt need money to do that.
Obviously, I stay up on the news.
I also try to stay up in my spirits.
My first news job at 19 was reviewing 9/11 and Iraq War footage and marking what wasn't usable on-air.
So, I learned early to disconnect when needed.
Unplug if you need to.
It doesn't make you weak.
It helps keep you strong. β₯οΈ
What the Trump administration is doing to organizations like USAID is both unacceptable and utterly reprehensible. It must be stopped. Letβs get tough about this.
Call your reps - they work for you! Go to house dot gov for their office numbers and see which committees they sit on.
We must fight.

These folks are heroic.
This ππ. Why arenβt the Senate Democrats doing, well, anything? Why are they pretending that everything is ok?
It makes me ill that the Committee on Human Rights of the US National Academy of Sciences had to put together a list of resources to support US researchers and scholars subjected to targeted attacks.
And it makes me ill that I have to post.
But here it is:

Marisa Kabas broke the biggest story of Trumpβs second term last night, beating NYT and WaPo to the scoop. If youβre wondering whether independent media has what it takes to hold Trump to account, the answer is yes.
The entire federal government should be sued for violating the civil rights act and employment discrimination laws for firing any black person they can get their hands on by calling them all βDEIβ hires.
I would like to emphasize that even if the orders coming out now from DC donβt impact you directly, they likely will someday. So be concerned and fight them.
Also, when someone does the Nazi salute, believe them. The gaslighting and disbelief here is astonishing.
They. Are. Nazis.
Dude cozies up to white supremacists for years.
He unbans every neo-Nazi that had ever been kicked off the other site as soon as he buys it.
He promotes White Replacement Theory.
He endorses Germany's AfD.
But you give him the benefit of the doubt after TWO Nazi salutes?
Motherfuck you.
If you're discriminated against or arrested for being trans in Illinois, I can represent you pro bono. Email me at sheryl@weikallaw.com.
ELON DID A FUCKING NAZI SALUTE AND THAT IS NOT FUCKING OK
No, itβs not. The harm is very real. But most of the news coming out and a number of the EOs are just designed to fan flames and not do anything substantive. We should absolutely focus on those that cause harm and fight them fully.
This is all just a smokescreen to keep us distracted from the fact that he is a convicted felon. These orders are just meant to stoke the fire of his base.
We need to use our voices for good and fight this administration. Fight for good!
God that felt good. Finally deactivated my X account.

Build some quiet napping rooms for those with long connections. Add some toys and things to climb and books to read. Put COMFORTABLE chairs there. Like couches and futons and things.
Best yet: you can only get in *if * you are traveling with children.
Just a PSA from a tired traveling mom.
Airports are awful. Loud. Bright. Boring. Parents are stressed just trying to keep everything together and hoping their flight isnβt delayed.
We are all stressed when traveling. How about we make it easier on everyone?
I say get rid of lounges and instead turn them into family friendly zones.
Just a thought: letβs get rid of airport lounges. Instead of providing yet another form of exclusivity, letβs repurpose them. For families traveling with small children.
Kids donβt make traveling more stressful, it already is. They are just reacting to the system we built. Itβs not their fault.
The system we live in is designed to help people fail. To punish them when theyβre down. To set people up for hardship.
There is no βwinningβ here. There is only survival. And even that is a sorry excuse for a consolation.
Watching those I care about suffer is infuriating. Why? WHY?
Um, what?
Good news! Letβs keep up the pressure for a fairer and better future for our children!
I want to see a world where no child is harmed. This is what I work for every day.
But we wonβt get there if we continue to rely on our old tunnel-vision approach.
We must include all voices, all partners, all parts of the world in this fight if we want to be successful.
I'll be speaking at this event on Friday! Come join to hear me talk about why new "child protection" laws that focus on surveillance are the wrong approach, and about some alternative approaches that are better focused on preventing and reducing harm. It's free!
βAct your ageβ is the worst advice Iβve received.
Be playful! Be mischievous! Be serious. Be dramatic.
Be what makes you happy. The world is difficult enough as it is, so get enjoyment where you can.
Okay y'all. I often tell people not to cry wolf or preemptively panic about legislation.
BUT THIS IS THE WEEK TO CALL SENATORS TO STOP THE KIDS ONLINE SAFTY ACT (#KOSA)
They're making real attempt to sneak it through. We just need ONE Senator to object
