You have your own plush! That's awesome.

It doesn't matter that Dustin always has a convenient "Eureka!" moment that will advance the plot, because I like watching Dustin hang out with Steve "the hair" Harrington. Simple as.

Stranger Things might be the purest plot-driven show I've seen. Characters get ideas beamed into their head the instant the plot needs them. It feels like watching fourteen people solve an Escape Room.

And yet, because I like these characters, it mostly still works on me.
