KEEP ZOOTOPIA IN THE TREE AND AWAY FROM JOE!
KEEP ZOOTOPIA IN THE TREE AND AWAY FROM JOE!
The weird thing about Hoppers is that its first half feels like something you could use in Animal Kingdom (keystone species!) and then it absolutely nukes it with its weird animal monarchy.
Itβs a good one!
Hoppers: 𦫠π¦«/5
The great irony of βThe Studioβsβ Seth Rogan doing an animated version of Animal Farm with fart jokes.
Mouse Tales was my gateway drug.
I just heard an ad for an IBM produced podcast called βSmart Talks,β where Malcolm Gladwell interviews the CEO of IBM about AI and I want TO HURL MYSELF INTO THE SUN.
I love that the narration doesn't even attempt to fully explain the ending. It just allows you to ponder the moment, which is very much in the spirit of the tale.
Disney would be like, "THE EMPEROR IS SAVED THANKS TO THAT TALKING BIRD!"
"Looks like I came back just in time!" - Josh Gad as bird
It's so good, I took their Spotify playlist version and imported it into Apple Music. Now, excuse me, but I have a CD kiosk in an art museum that I must listen to.
I literally can't think of any park that does a better job of conserving the history of its attractions than Efteling. Soon they will be reimagining their Chinese Nightengale story, and so they do a beautifully shot version of its current form and post it for all to see. Turn on English subtitles!
The park was never going to be for outsiders really anyway. Itβs all soft power. These parks are all grand and relatively empty because they have oil money backing.
When Bob Iger first retired from Disney, COVID happened. Now the Iran war will raise gas prices at home and most likely end Disneyβs attempt at a park in the UAE (though they were never going to fund it themselves).
Nobody gets out while the gettin is good like Iger.
I need βHoney, I Pod the Cast!β
Iβm very confident Piston Peak and Villainsland will open on time, as historically the only things that have ever held up or cancelled projects at WDW were high gas prices, a sinking economy, or a war in the Middle East.
This is pretty much my work playlist of choice. music.apple.com/us/playlist/...
So happy with this release! If youβve never seen it, imagine the Sci-fi aesthetics of Alien on top of a classic western plot (High Noon). Itβs greqt.
Ron Howard: "They had."
Dallin (Offhand Disney) and Drew the Disney Due join Dan and Nathan to discuss the new CEO at Disney, Olaf's takeover of live animators at Disney World, and a Tiana exhibit coming to possibly a children's museum near you. That and more on this month's news roundup!
You'll also see Congress grump about not being involved in the decision, but it's already over, so <shrug>. Once again, the constitution is used as wiping paper but the bullshit is too fast for the institutional framework of government to respond.
This of course, means we'll leave Iran worse off and wash our hands of it, which we LOOOOVE to do in the region.
If the Iran leader is dead, then Trump will attempt to call it a success and back out as quickly as possible to call a win, stave off heat from voters and avoid having an American die. This will of course piss off Bibi, who wants to use America to level the place.
True true.
Even with that, you don't need to go to war to claim fraud. He's done that...all the time? Truly, this feels like just a big unforced error and not like he's playing 3D chess.
The problem is, he did it entirely alone. Technically, we're still not at war officially with anybody.
