It low key bothers me, as they gaze at my working clothes, my customer service smile, my pleasant demeanor, that they can't tell I know multiple ways to disassemble them, and am contemplating which would be most satisfying.

It's why we all stared at video of President Obama speaking at the Jackson Memorial ceremony. The sound of a sane, competent, informed and intelligent mind saying compassionate and true things. It was like one desperate gasp of oxygen as our heads go under the water again. 😞

It snowed fairly heavily later on this hike, almost completely filling my snow tracks I'd made on my way up the mountain.

I was prepared, so it just added to the lovely adventure of the hike.
That's The #ColumbiaRiver far below, and the steep mountains on the #Oregon side or the Gorge.

Sometimes, if you stare at President Obama you can see all the things he didn't become but surely could have; a singer, a minister, a judge, a professor, a commentator, on and on...the man just has such a depth of skills.

Yeah. 11.5 miles round trip to the closest most expensive tiny market, and 14.5 to town. Zero public transportation options, literally zero. Bicyclists get hit by large trucks on the 2 lane swoopy road. I'll get right on that.
