I've voted in 3 states, all with different systems that are intentionally built to make it hard for voters to hold elected officials accountable.

And aren't there two more elections this year? School boards & municipal?

We are <10 days out from the IL primary. A lot of people that I know are more focused and involved in politics than ever and almost all of them, even the ones who are doing cool and inspiring stuff, are talking about what a feel bad election this is. I think that is extremely important.

I'm still surprised to find so many structurally conservative election practices in Illinois. No runoffs for fields with this many candidates creates a spoiler effect on steroids.
