The productive moment continues! Today, I'm working on a little somethin' somethin' for April Fool's Day. 1/3 sections down. The easiest one, 'cause it's a parody of something that already exists, but starting with an easy win is a good way to boost morale and keep motivation flowing.
The other stuff includes a barely-studied Midwestern Pennsylvanian coal seam almost the same age as the Mazon Creek Fm, and some Quaternary plants from Southern California.
Hey #PaleoBluesky, I won't be doing anything more with it, so if any of you want the data from my research to do with as you will, let me know. My alligatorine data is already going to one former colleague. I have Lystrosaurus data (most notably Chinese stuff) to give away, too. Random other stuff.
2) If you wanna play The Slithering, I've just put up an offer of it on StartPlaying. 2/2

It's #InternationalGMsDay. Two things!
1) Most of my #PathfinderInfinite stuff is currently 25% off as part of the DriveThruRPG sale. 1/2
Anyhow she was flagrantly against renewing my contract and that's part of how my career ended. π€·
I hope your uni's IT is more capable/not working with systems as fucked as my former employer's.
Confronted her about it and she said "you don't answer emails". Patently false (I was very on point about answering emails), and rich, coming from her. She later told me she hates emails and prefers communicating in person. Usually didn't respond to an email chain more than once with me if at all.
I think one of my former bosses didn't believe me, 'cause she got this look on her face everytime I reminded her to text me important things until the problem was fixed. And she stopped talking to me at all, then got mad I didn't know about things she wanted done.
Mine just stopped accepting most emails once. Didn't tell anyone their emails weren't going through. IT couldn't figure it out. Another prof in my dept had the same problem. Magically started working again many months later.
In the life sciences, it's defining 'species'.
Nice! Fingers crossed it keeps up.
Okay, it wasn't *completely* a rest day. But I did rest into the early afternoon and was able to avoid crashing. Only mild things in spurts after that.
Turned in an art checkpoint yesterday. Between all the work and gardening productivity the past week and a half, plus going on several unplanned walks (even though I cancelled two planned ones), I'm feeling that warning light of teetering on a fatigue spell. So today is a rest day.

Season 2 of SR (SR: Anthem) was *very* good. Mace has really come into his own with acting out the bad guys, and Nikki plays off him *really* well. It does feel quite different from season 1, though. Less campy 80s, more gritty 80s.
A drawing of a chimeric monster that's part bat part panda.
I can't for the life of me remember the context, but panda-bats, specifically, arose as a joke in the comment section of a pterosaur talk at an online paleontology conference 2020. This is the drawing I added to the discussion.
Yup, based on their space campaign, Stardust Rhapsody. Same as Crooked Moon is based on their folk horror campaign, Edge of Midnight. SR isn't past, though. They announced their third season of it recently.
That's one of the things I miss about my old job, and not being able to do more than piddle about with my own stuff now. It was really nice having two solid incomes in the household so I could back people on Patreon and buy art.
Wrote about 1000 words on the big project today. Between this and the glut of chores and tasks today and yesterday, I am quite pooped. Gonna be hard to wake up early in the morning to take Conor to his specialist vet appointment in the big city.
Def resting the rest of the day once we get home.
FYI, Academia.edu has changed its terms of service to give an irrevocable worldwide license for anything uploaded to its site to be used for generative AI. I do not consent to this and have pulled all my papers.
The speed at which you consistently write astounds me. I have short bursts like that on occasion, but nothing sustained.
That is...a *very* good way of putting it.
Runaway to the Stars of a webcomic is of interest
PaizoCon's cancelled, but the online region is putting together a fan-run alternative.
I'm gonna see about running the new one-shot I'd planned to debut at PaizoCon there instead.
Still looking for players for charity games! First one scheduled for mid-day Eastern time tomorrow, second for this Friday.

The ADHD task initiation and focus troubles have been non-existent the past three days after being awful for a couple weeks. Wrote about 500 words + research on one project on Wed, chores on Thu, then 2000 words on another today. Very happy and hope the reprieve keeps up.

Today was a good day. Cold is winding down. Plumbing's fixed, so I can wash dishes again. Got some writing done, and some org play upkeep. Quality time with the cats, including rare solo playtime with Conor. Looking forward to more good things tomorrow.
Been sick the past few days. π€§ It's been very, very nice to have boxes of powdered sipping broth in the pantry that just need hot water added. Highly recommend. π²
The digital versions of Pathfinder Tales novels are on sale until the imminent release of Operation Hellmouth.
