Founded in 1980, and recognized as a DFL community caucus in 1982, the mission has never changed. We continue to fight not just queer liberation, but for the liberation of all people. I’m excited to be able to continue to lead this organization in its 46th year of continuous operation.
Happy to announce my re-election to another two-year term as Chair of Stonewall DFL. Stonewall DFL continues to have the distinction of the longest continuously operating community caucus in the DFL.
I won’t bother to attend a meeting that was called under false pretenses. My public comments and my comments to the press speak for themselves. The Party failed you all in a moment of crisis. I’m sorry those of us who tried to change things couldn’t do more.
You will hear from some in party leadership that there is no real opposition to holding precinct caucuses in person. This is a lie. Do not let them tell you otherwise.
I am hearing that the emergency @dfl.org SEC meeting tonight, which I had planned on attending, is discussion only and will not be taking up any actual business. This is not how this meeting was initially presented to the SEC earlier this week.
There’s a rally going on in Boston rn and they’re chanting “we’re not cold, we’re not afraid, MN taught us to be brave!” and I might cry
Justice for Alex Pretti. Abolish ICE. Prosecute all ICE officers and local, state and federal officials, elected or otherwise, who enabled these atrocities to happen.
Stonewall DFL and Minnesota will not rest until this work is completed.

Yes! And knowing this, our patrol networks will do their level best to secure caucus locations, which will leave *everybody else* more vulnerable to ICE!

I have heard from SO many constituents who are concerned about their safety, and their neighbors’ safety, on caucus night. @dfl.org MUST have contactless caucuses to ensure safe and fair representation.

we couldn’t bring backpacks in a DFL listening session last year where richard carlbom spoke and we had to go through metal detectors but caucuses are supposed to be fine with a lawyer on call when ICE are shooting us in the streets
ICE has shown up at schools, bus stops, made fake food aid flyers, and used a 5yo as bait to opportunistically beat up, tear-gas, and abduct neighbors and observers. @dfl.org and @rcarlbom.bsky.social what makes you think they * wouldn't * use our caucuses as a way to terrorize and detain DFLers?

The time has come where the DFL can no longer pretend that things are business as usual. @dfl.org @rcarlbom.bsky.social it’s time to pivot to contactless caucuses to protect our precinct caucus attendees and volunteers from harm at the hands of ICE.
i am the chair of @sd60dfl.bsky.social, myself, our ex committee & the leadership of SD62 & SD63 have spent 100s of hrs attempting to make Feb 3 caucuses equitable by encouraging @dfl.org to prioritize nonattendee delegates sheltering in place. this is not enough.
feb 3 caucuses MUST be virtual.
Serious campaigns would be connecting people to resources and how they can help in the fight against this federal occupation that is murdering our neighbors in our streets. We would like to know which campaigns we should be taking seriously.
Stonewall DFL is getting reports that some candidates running for office are continuing to make calls for precinct caucuses and recruiting delegates to run for organizing unit conventions. Please let Stonewall DFL know if you hear from candidates running in the DFL primary about any of this.

Your money could be better spent on helping families. Funding the DFL apparatus will likely send money to members who actually won’t support immigrants. Like when they stripped healthcare from immigrant adults or refused to advance Sen Fateh’s sanctuary bill.
A group of 6 families are coordinating transportation, groceries, rent & utilities for 60+ Folwell families in South Minneapolis (this number grows daily). Most of the students have now shifted to e-learning. Please help our neighbors who are impacted by immigration enforcement.
