AI Slop is Hacking Your Brain (Here's how to stop it)

Generative AI is getting so good at warping reality that even “cute animal” videos can be a gateway to something more insidious. I explain why this may work on normal brains, and suggest several firewalls to interrupt the hack. #AI #Neuroskyence open.substack.com/pub/dwaynego...

Explain PowerShell

Added an informed AI-explainer to www.explainpowershell.com

Uses a nano model, provided with most of the help information that is generated to show the aready available explanation tree. That way, a tiny, cheap model can do pretty relyable short explanations!

What do you think?

Amazing! I wonder what that would imply if true!
Would genome research need an extra run because of this, to identify new genes that need to be read backwards?
Would AlphaFold need new training, or can it be instructed to start folding from the other end?
Can we identify which proteins are BT

That was fun to play with!
How about a slider for how fast time passes, that way you can choose if you just want to see the normal distribution approximated, or if you want to be mesmerized by a 1000 marbles finding their way one after another (where is this one going to go?)

Explain PowerShell

I am very enthusiastic about #GithubCoPilot! In the past weeks I've had a few hours here and there to update my www.explainpowershell.com site from #dotnet 6 to dotnet 10, and also fix a few minor bugs along the way, and all of that was sooo much easier than say two years ago!

An interesting read. Lots of challenges, but promising nonetheless.

One big (replicated!) finding on AI doesn’t get enough attention: existing systems like GPT-4
can alter deeply held beliefs using logic & discussion, not manipulation.

A short conversation with AI greatly reduce conspiracy theory beliefs (hard to do!) & the effects last months.
