Nostalgia is the only thing we seem to have nowadays, and it gets distorted each and every time we reminisce while politicians absolve themselves of their MANY crimes. Nostalgia is slumber. Your political heroes are war criminals, guilty of murdering hundreds of thousands of ppl abroad for oil.

It’s abhorrent, and any real political analyst that is anti-racist and pro-intellectual will tell you that Obama is huge component of the acceleration of facism. This is not difficult to understand if you look closely at what he set up over his two terms. But Blue Maga can’t help being nostalgic.

It is nearly impossible to convince them that fascism and the protecting Billionaires is just as central to the Democratic Party as it is to the Republican Party. They often cave to moral panic, hereby oppressing the ppl most impacted by systemic failings (trans ppl, SWers, disableds, etc)

They capitulate to power as long as it’s dressed nicely and concedes to respectability and identity politics. This is why they are often called Blue MAGA because they follow identitarians, although cosmetically different from what we associate with that term — all the same.

And you can’t talk with these people about the MANY ways the Biden and Kamala administration (in addition to Obama) fast tracked rising deportation, eugenics by way of “ending” and ONGOING pandemic, and increasing the police state.
