It’s not satisfying because you might as well be picking up the raw materials.
Once Human has a system where you find—probably 100+ different pieces of junk that are useless except they can be taken home and recycled into raw materials, but it lets you “recycle all” whenever you’re at home, so there ends up being no player attachment to the junk at all.
