Just heard from my boss the department will still be here, I still have a job. That's a relief.

I will say though this year has been absolutely putrid for me. I wish things could eventually turn around but it has been a lot of sinking feelings as of late...

Got word that the campus I work on has been sold.

No idea what this means for my employment, my department or any of that. We'll just have to wait and see...

Just got broken up with. Hoping it at least ends amicably, but yeah. Might be going through the motions for the next few days is all I'll say.

Trust me, it still sucks but Trump just has a fundamental disrespect for this country and how it is supposed to function. He was always going to try to find other ways to implement his harmful policy. It's up to us this November to at the very least split Congress to prevent anything from being done

The good news is these other laws are decidedly weaker: Maximum 15%, cannot last longer than 150 days without congressional approval. The previous law gave them no such limits, as it was for "emergencies".

Not quite. They declared the use of a particular law to enact tariffs as illegal. Trump's bullshit cronies are now trying to find other laws to implement similar, but not identical, tariffs.

STREAM UPDATE

We'll be back to streaming on February 22nd. Some changes have been made for my health and wellbeing, but I think overall they are positive changes that will hopefully show in my attitude on stream and the like. 💚

It's back up and running... I think I could've fixed this easily had I asked for help and not presumed it was a CPU issue yesterday, as I learned my RAM was in the wrong slots. Had I not faffed about with CPUs I wouldn't have accidentally damaged the slot more. An expensive lesson learned...
