Both children applying to grad programs this round. Iβm amazed at how much harder it is than back when we used typewriters and usps. Does every program have to ask for the same info in a different number of essays with different word limits?

The first week of the term (this past week for me) is the worst. I need to remember not to have writing goals for such weeks so I donβt get discouraged
Letters are mostly not useful, however I have seen a few cases in which there were red flags in the letters that allowed us to avoid a big problem. I think they are an important piece, but agree they shouldnβt be required for all applicants.
