How itβs going this morning.

A denizen of Omaha, by God, Nebraska, home of the beleaguered Blue Dot of the Electoral College. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana . . . which is just beleaguered. Proud graduate of Baton Rouge Magnet High School and LSU. This occurred many years ago.
How itβs going this morning.

OK, Iβll just put this out here for the sake of making imperfect historical analogies, but good enough for government work.
The United States attacking #Iran is akin to Nazi Germany attacking Stalinβs Soviet Union. No good guys, but oneβs the aggressor.
Call it Operation Bubbarosa.
#fascism #war
OK, youβre dad-joking hard right now.
Proceed apace.
Howβs it going today? Oh, about like this.
Exactly this. Itβs not just that the United States is under fascist siege, itβs that this country also has been shattered in every way you can think of.
Maybe we can stop Trump, but Iβm highly pessimistic that we can put America back together.
I certainly hope his bone spurs donβt impact his swing too badly.
This certainly is going well, donβt you think?
And itβs 1, 2, 3 what are we fighting for? Donβt ask me I donβt give a damn, next stop is in Iran,
And itβs 5, 6, 7 open up the pearly gates, Well there ainβt no time to wonder why, WHOOPEE weβre all gonna die!
(βCountryβ Joe McDonald, RIP)
It turns out the U.S. did a βdouble tapβ attack just as emergency responders were arriving at the girlsβ elementary school. This is what the Russians do routinely in Ukraine.
Thatβs a war crime under international humanitarian law.
How is this real
Iranian cells in the States now have the permission structure to take out or poison the water supply of a major city.
Wonβt end well. We war-crimed first.
My grades totally improved. Made the deanβs list.
Cutting your bar time in half matters.
FWIW, I moved to North Platte, Neb., a single 21-year-old and moved back to BR a married 22-year-old. I married the wire editor of my newspaper.
The editor said heβd give it a year. Heβs now dead, but weβre still married going on 43 years later.
Mine is locked down as much as I can manage, but still. . . .
I remember feeling like it was the gray market when you could buy a telephone instead of renting it from the phone cops.
I kinda hated giving up the nice little phone I rented from Northwestern Bell back in β83 when I moved back to BR to finish school at LSU.
I miss being able to easily find out what someoneβs damn phone number is without paying for a web subscription.
Still have a rotary phone in the living room as a display piece. We used the thing until we ditched the land line.
I also miss being able to slam down the receiver in somebodyβs ear. ;-)
Over the years at protests- over the entire range of issues- women have been warriors. Kats bruised butt is not a new phenomenon.
Meanwhile, MarkWhine alpha dude has a security detail our taxes pay for.
Never see alpha boys in the hood.
As I recall, (way) back in the day, I would laugh my ass off, pretty much, at a recitation of the telephone book.
Of course, Gen Z and Gen Alpha, are asking right now βWhatβs a telephone book?β
Which I find hilarious completely straight.

What we all suspected is moving beyond suspicion. #Epstein #Trump
The devolution of man:
Enact a truly progressive income tax and cancel the Perkins Canal boondoggle, and Nebraska would be able to reduce property taxes *and* balance the budget.
But we wouldnβt be able to coddle the rich and keep the poβ folks down if we did that, would we?
END π§΅
That goes triple for educated young people.
And weβre getting there.
But the poor and working classes, theyβre just screwed. And the fascist idiots who are destroying what used to be a pretty damn good place to live could not care any less.
The stateβs deficit is structural, due to stupidity.
