We hold City Hall to account for its road safety, cycling + climate plans while fighting to reallocate space to walk/cycle/transit to create healthy communities.

Mamdani Deputy Mayor On Charging For Street Parking: 'It's Not a No' - Streetsblog New York City Dean Fuleihan said on Thursday that the city is discussing charging fees for currently free on-street parking.

NEW: Mamdani's City Hall is discussing charging fees for currently free on-street parking β€” a policy change that would not only create a new revenue stream but also seize a once-in-a-generation opportunity to improve the streetscape. buff.ly/9C0Iq34

Agreed. That's how you would do it. After all, if you can somehow get dozens of massive buses to Bloor, why not hundreds of Bike Share bikes to a variety of stations? Use your Presto card to hop on a bike and away you'd go, passing all of the buses along the way.

A collaboration between TTC + Bike Share Toronto would offer a great option during subway closures on Bloor-Danforth. Instead, @ttcriders.bsky.social suffer the indignity of being crammed into shuttle buses stuck behind single-occupant cars. There must be a better way! #onpoli @mayoroliviachow.ca

This essential infrastructure needs to be part of the city’s snow‑removal plan Some bike lanes are used less than others. City hall needs to identify the busiest routes and to prioritize them for snow-clearing. That should be easy, given there are only

These key strategies could help Americans get rid of their carsΒ  Β» Yale Climate Connections Research points the way to a more climate-friendly, diverse, and desirable transportation system.

Going car-free is the best thing most people can do for climate. To reduce car dependency, cities should promote car-free living, supporting compact cities through policy, and investing in public transportation, pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure, and shared mobility options.

It’s taken years for the city to close a tiny gap in this 65-km public trail. The trouble? A 110-year-old private golf course lies in the way Toronto has finally decided to expropriate part of the Weston Golf and Country Club, a private course that has been open since 1915.
