Here' s a more complete first-level loop for the vertical space shooter we're working on!
Would love to hear what you think: what's fun, what's not, etc

Working on a simple little dialogue pop-up.

Amazing work! But she's not in a car at all?
An absolute classic in the world of fictional space travel.

64x64 pixel art character portrait - untitled
Trying out another 64x64 character portrait.

I've got some homing missiles working now. I also realized that I almost never have to spell "missile" and my brain had basically censored the second 'i' until now.

My first video game was Taz-Mania on the Game Gear. I dread that when I draw my last breath, I'll remember its soundtrack more clearly than my own mother's face.
Please, bear witness with me to its dark intentionality.

The tagline in that case could be: "The rootin-tootin hoedown on earth"
I'd love to make a game that's the inverse of the SNES shmup Phalanx. It'd have an intense, sci-fi action cover. But it would actually be a banjo rhythm game with a hillbilly protagonist.

Hey this is great
Experimenting with more pixel art for our first game. No idea what this first guy's deal is, but the fish/ship is gonna fire missles from its mouth/launcher.
#gamedev #videogames #aseprite #godot
gonna have to try that
This is what I imagine when I hear "cottagecore"
Most recently, I've been playing Andro Dunos 2. I really like it.
Hell yeah! What are your favorites on the switch?
A little sketch we put together for a simple shmup idea. Let us know what you think!
#videogames #gamedev
I'll definitely give that a play
Oh this is excellent stuff
As beginners, a big part of what we're aiming to do is build in public and develop community with other game devs. So as we take tutorials and figure things out, we'll regularly be sharing playable prototypes.
Here's a quick sketch of a vertical shmup!

Rage 2 IS actually pretty good. It's incomplete, but it's also the best game I've ever played to prominently feature assless chaps.

Episode 2 of the podcast is coming soon. But you can listen to episode 1 today!
Some highlights:
- We discuss what resources we're using to learn Godot
- What we're playing
- How our backgrounds compare
- Rage 2 was pretty good, actually!

This one has been on the wishlist for a while
Been waiting too long for Pong 2
A screenshot of a DOS program that simulates the software running on a Soyuz spacecraft. I have no idea what any of the data means.
Looks cool, though. It's giving me Nostromo vibes.
Kinda like retro-futurism, but real.
I'd love someone to make a sci-fi video game with this exact aesthetic.
The UI design in this Soyuz astronaut training software goes extremely hard.
Great stuff!
Love the color palette
"oh hello, I didn't see you there"
Love this
