With SendouQ returning today just a friendly reminder ~
If you are stressed about your rank and your friends tell you rank doesnβt matter, they are absolutely WRONG
If you canβt get atleast plat you are a complete failure and you should uninstall immediately
Happy splatting ππ«Ά
paint spam heavy is quite therapeutic actually
The video may have an usually long end screen but at least i hit the 8 minute mark
it's crazy to me that we still don't have a brella in this game with rain despite that being the only time you'd have a brella irl
it has always felt like a way to artificially extend the game's life by adding an "event" that gets players to come back to the game and get invested again
remember, every time you get mugged in the street there is another person that you've made happy because they've taken your money :)
splatoon fact! they call it the "luna" blaster because its blast area spans roughly 2,159 miles in diameter, identical to the diameter of the moon
Public Anemone continues their reign of terror, tearing through Blood Leak 5-0 during LUTI week 2. Please report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.

I've played against a bunch of dynabow comps and again they feel the same to me. play by the same cooler timings to enable similar weapons that do similar things. just longer animations for more spam. it looks different but from my limited brush perspective it feels like they just do the same thing
heavy got 2 area cup top 4s playing with snipewriter and S-blast. unless i see wild new heavy comp it just looks like a variation on the same idea. if anything it just seems to be replacing the short range support with mid-long range support that does the same thing but from further back.
thanks

Right now I think it's just cooler that does this. Only comparison I can think of is old crab, stingray and armour. If we found ourselves in a world where every team had to consider how they'd fit a v96 or booyah into their comp then maybe I'd add those to the list but for now, just cooler
I think a system like this wouldn't be necessary if the power outliers were brought down. Synergy would start to matter a lot more than it currently does meaning I can make my coolerless brush teams without throwing but the Devs really like it when 1-2 things are OP so i don't see that happening.
I keep trying to think of cool brush team ideas that immediately die once I realise I can replace a backline with pen/wrapid or a short range weapon with zap/tri and have a better comp despite the poor synergy those weapons have. This system could take away those options forcing more creativity imo
It would help solving the issue I always have with the meta which is just that things become mandatory must haves and everything just homogenises around it. I want to see a game where there are distinct archetypes that centre around different ideas but rn it's all variations of the same idea
The more I think about it, the more I want to see a pick/ban system or at least a system where you can't have 2 or more of a weapon kit in a game. Implementation for tournaments in the current game would be hell but it would be interesting to see in a future game

if you step back and squint a bit, splatoon 2's icon for burst bomb rush kinda looks like reefslider
and that is very intentionally xenoblade 3D because that was the one i got first
Kid icarus uprising was the first game to ever get me excited about competition. I'd watch the multiplayer trailer on repeat in the lead up to my birthday. by the time i got the game the online was empty but i still remember it as the first game i wanted to take seriously
when drop roller finally becomes meta, i will be ready

I haven't posted on here much bc I've been focused on long-form conversations on my forum, Tentakeel Outpost. Here I talk abt a critique I've had of tournament branding using pre-existing IPs. Have a read if you'd like #compsplatoon

why is it called the H-3 if it does more than 3 damage?
Sword players in S3 evolving to radiate the same energy as the Palutena mains is an event that must be studied in a lab
also i'm biased because that thing has a close range one shot that it can charge faster than a brush can reasonably kill while having similar range to brush if you include the dash and that makes me jealous
Like i don't see how 10% efficiency + PFS buff is going to bring it back when AoE is still OP and its syergystic teammates are still struggling under blaster and slosher
