18. Cheem - Power Move

I did not expect that my favorite Dom McLennon verse would come from a fucking Cheem album. Brilliant mix of Nu Metal's riffs and hooks, the sweet melodies of boyband pop, and the vulnerability of emo. No one in the world does it like Cheem does

Favorite song: Spin Cycle

it feels like Cheem crafted their music specifically to make my brain release the happy chemicals

Octane by Cheem is maybe the most underrated song off Power Move. I never see it get the love it deserves but it's one of my favs.

I got into Cheem during the summer, really enjoyed Faster Fashion and this album is filled with songs that just fuck. Lots of aquatic vibes in some of these. Nano and Quench are my personal highlights.
