From Circana's PlayerPulse - US video game player sentiment around the use of generative AI is worsening. In December 2025, over 25% of players said the use of generative AI would lead them to refuse or be less likely to buy a game.
Reposting because in my first try I words up my mixed.
Did you know I sell a bunch of $10 outfits and that if you buy one I get to eat a fish fry for dinner and that will give me the energy to live on in these god awful times
Damn :O I, too, hope that it's real

If you're doomscrolling, guess what? So far there are 51 kฤkฤpล chicks hatched and thriving this season, the same number of birds as we had in TOTAL in the 90s! Only one chick has died and there are still fertile eggs waiting to hatch!
Hi #portfolioday
I'm MAF, comic creator, illustrator and curator of white haired individuals
Currently working on my own comics but my inbox is always open for commercial projects if they're interesting enough โจ
For real???? ๐ that's hilarious

Sure is! And the worst!
But we can do it, Diana!!
I'm sorry. That was a completely unnecessary and unsympathetic info-dump yesterday. It has been deleted. Please disregard it.
Alright so... this is terrifying
And when I say Damned I mean Holger Danske will come alive and fry me
I'm probably tormenting myself more than is normal because I broke my sacred oath as a Dane to never pay for my education and I will be Damned if I didn't get everything out of these 9 months that I can
My five stages of forced improvement for the first half year of this art school journey have been pretty consistent:
1) feel confident
2) feedback tears down confidence
3) screaming into pillow
4) finding specific exercise to fix problem
5) fixing problem day of deadline
rinse and repeat

Stylized digital illustration of Mulder and Scully from the X Files turning to look at camera at something, flashlights in hand. A UFO is flying by overhead, highlighted by an X in the sky. There are other X shape motifs in the shape of the flashlight beams nd the tree bark.
Do you want to believe?
Guess who's been rewatching the X Files~
IF you have any specific questions, feel free to throw them at me, though.
I remember a few US students from when I Was abroad in Japan who had a lot of luck with taking the full education in Japan instead - which was much cheaper for them. So there'sthat option for you too
That's about all the general info I can give you other than, obviously no one wants to fund the humanities so getting a phd afterwards is SUPER hard, and my personal story with the academic world ends there as I struggled with long covid afterwards
I have a 134 pg paper somewhere online that is an intersectional feminist reading of popcultural superhero shows with a super nerdy title ๐
That means the dissertation doesn't really feel like a special thing to go through - because we were writing disso-style papers each semester for 5 years. But that's pretty much the end of the education, and
That's the boring bureaucratic part
As for what it eactually looks like. Again. My. university is kind of specific. Int hat it uses a model called Problem Based Learning, and it means we wrote a research paper every semester as our final exam (30-150 pages each time, depending on team size)
buuuuut if you get a job outside university you don't generally use that to refer to yourself, so it's actually pretty unknown. And Unis here generally don't want KA people to teach, and instead rely purely on PHDs and PHD students

I'm curious to hear you elaborate on this
No one needs to be the "best in the whole world" at something. That's not the point of mastery
As for the reason why universities use the term master's degree, it's because the european university system is based on the guild education education system. It does not mean we know better than anyone else, it simply means we have passed a degree that certifies us as scholars within our field
On my father's grave it says "Master painter", not because he was the best painter in the world, but because he had a workshop that was guild certified, where people were employed to help in painting other people's houses.
That's it
"Master" is a worksman title like "doctor". It comes from the guild system, where you were given this title when you had passed an exam within the guild system that allowed you to open a workshop.
That's it
Master means "head of a guild certified workshop"
And Then he throws an acidic remark out about people with masters degrees haven't actually accomplished anything, it's just an empty degree and they don't know anything which-- discussion on it's own, but it hit me:
To a european that's not what mastery means
