I still find it very awkward. I keep meaning to spend some more time hunting for a better alternative.

One last Sunday afternoon Irish trad session before heading back to Ireland. (We actually have to drive farther to get to our local sessions when we’re in Ireland than we do in Washington!)

A couple of days ago I met up with another new friend for another great paddle in this amazing place called Puget Sound.

Glad you’re feeling better! We have a few weeks left to try to get together…

It was. Hoping to get out tomorrow, too. Unfortunately, Sunday is going to be a rehearsal day, so I’ll miss the session again 🙁

My first Puget Sound paddle of 2025 couldn’t have been better. Weather was perfect, I met a new friend, the tides were cooperative and, after not using my gear for two months, I didn’t forget anything crucial. Even remembered how to reassemble the hydraulic roof rack and load the boat. Phew!

Heard this played on KCAW Radio (Sitka Alaska public radio) yesterday. 👍

Choosing my battles. This one feels too much like a diversion from the real issues - the ones that are destroying people’s lives.

Sorry you couldn’t get through! We were playing up in Canada for a couple of weeks, and our cheapo cell plans don’t work outside of the USA. It’s been bizarre watching the events of the past two weeks from that vantage point! Almost home. Already sent you an email from the ferry. ❤️

It’s a surreal time to be on tour in Canada. One more show on Friday (Nanaimo Folk Connection). Hope the border is still open when we head home!
