If it had been at night, the school building would have been empty (or minimally occupied). It seems no effort was made to minimize non-target casualties.
… volunteered at hospitals (JANGOs) for tea. Some of us were hanging our coats and I saw his hat on a shelf. Couldn’t resist trying it!
While in the Naval Observatory for afternoon tea, I tried on 4-star Admiral Zumwalt’s military hat for size. It was too big.
He was the last Chief of Naval Operations to live there before it became the Vice President’s residence. His wife was having officers’ daughters who …
When you don’t do anticipating, or you don’t listen to those who do, then there is much that is “unanticipated”.
The “unanticipated” need to evacuate 500,000 to 1,000,000 Americans stuck in crossfire?
The “unanticipated” idea that daytime targets near a school might kill hundreds of children?
“Unnecessary war of choice” -> illegal war of aggression
I voted in Dallas County today. The texas.gov site wouldn't tell me where to go, so I went to where I voted in the '24 presidential election. They said I was at the wrong place, and gave me the address I needed to go to. That place then informed me I had to go somewhere else.
A cartoon man says “some of you may die. But that is a sacrifice I am willing to make.”
Just a quick reality check …
A bowl of orange colored soup sits next to some buttered rye bread with caraway seeds. My grandmother would give each person a bowl of soup with a whole knockwurst in the center. Today, I slice the knockwurst into the soup and then served it.

My mom, whose 94th birthday is approaching, insisted on cleaning up after (with her help) I made a family favorite tonight: German potato soup.
If they didn’t target the school then they missed their target. If they missed their target then “pinpoint” accuracy is BS. If pinpoint accuracy is BS then they should have planned the attack for when the school was not in use in consideration of a possible miss.
“the most lethal and precise air power campaign in history”
“No stupid rules of engagement, no nation building quagmire, no democracy building exercise, no politically correct wars.”
They started off bombing a school full of girls — the ICC should be issuing arrest warrants, no?
Yes, exactly.
Exactly!!
May I suggest that we avoid casually just referring to it as a war? It’s an “illegal war”. I’m concerned that it’s bring normalized.
I wonder if the president really thinks he is a peacemaker because he can make his own bad feelings go away for s while by using force.
… “negative peace” which is “the absence of tension” as opposed to a “positive peace” which is “the presence of justice”.
Here’s a thought. A malignant narcissist’s notion of “peace” is “when I personally feel good”. So to them, obliterating a source of displeasure results in “peace”. It has nothing to do with interrelationships, past history, or future repercussions. Just “now I feel good”.

Beautiful!
Thank you! I love it, it drapes nicely and goes with a lot (including denim)!
Bombing a school and leaving at least 80 children dead (according to the Guardian) seems kind of war-crimey to me.
Thx! It’s probably the most subtle of the ones shared on Ravelry. I love the colors though, especially the blue!
Nice!
Exactly! I’m Unix years old. Microsoft has it backwards. It should serve the user, not the other way around.
Thank you!
Yes please.
