π I know! Looking forward to Leonard and Hungry Paul on Friday.
Beautiful evening at the Ulster Museum with an audience for a special screening of the first two episodes of Leonard and Hungry Paul. Delighted with the reaction. Thanks so much to BBC Northern Ireland for all the support. They really championed this and made it happen.
Lovely surprise to see you tonight albeit very briefly!
Mini marshmallows and any biscuit other than digestives.
If you are about Belfast on Saturday Iβm giving a gallery tour of Art of the Possible at the @ulstermuseum.org
A circular ceramic, split in half. One half has text reading βhere comes the shameβ; the other reads βall he cares about it loveβ. On the left, the out rim reads βbe carefulβ, with the right reading βtheyβre watching youβ. The disc is decorated in plaid patterns.
An orange circular ceramic with the words βfear eats the soulβ.
A circular ceramic with a pin triangle decorating the middle. In the triangle are the words βbut we bring the fun!β The triangle hides text, which we can just discern reads βthoseβ¦chapsβ.
The three ceramics mounted on a wall together.
Happy #Pride, Belfast!
To celebrate, we want to share 'Fear', 'The Shame' and 'Chaps' from the series 'The Glamour Boys' (2024) by Simon Dredge.
Β
'The Glamour Boys' celebrates #LGBTQHistory and those who helped pave the way for equal rights.

Finally I was able to record one of the woodpeckers in the garden this weekend. I feel so privileged to have up to three of these amazing birds visit everyday. Thanks to the free Merlin bird call app.
I watched it in the City Hospital after having an emergency appendectomy. Ciggie in hand, drip in arm on the TV in the Dayroom. The day before the orderlies asked if I wanted to be put in a wheelchair to go and watch the Twelfth π³
I feel the same π€―
There were only two venues in the UK. Us and Manchester Art Gallery.
I knooow!!
I got an enquiry from a US academic about an exhibition held in Belfast in 1935. We had the catalogue in our archive. Who knew the Belfast Museum & Art Gallery @ulstermuseum.org
were so forward thinking! #WaltDisney

God that made me π
A still life painting of a vase of flowers tipped on its side. The bouquet is large and bright, spilling off the edge of the canvas.
π Today's #OnlineArtExchange theme is 'smells in art' for βScented Visions' at the Watts Gallery.
πΈ 'Still Life' by Georges Jeannin overflows with sensory information. You can almost smell the bright bouquet and the slightly acrid odor of the spilt vase water.

My husband who is the complete and utter Heinlein fan. Donβt read Starship Troopers first. Read Revolt in 2100, Moon is a Harsh Mistress and Stranger in a Strange Land. Also Job, Comedy of Justice.
Have you read Robert A Heinlein?

More fantastic feedback to the βWild Ireland: Past, Present, Futureβ exhibition at the #UlsterMuseum. People are concerned about the environmental crisis but ultimately hopeful and energised to play their part in protecting our planet.
