I do remember hearing about your work in birds at the Basal Ganglia GRC and being very excited that someone else was seeing similar things in a completely different animal model!
I also was surprised.
This started as my 6 week rotation project in Veronica’s lab. I totally believed that visual cortical projections would drive CINs and that this would be involved in visual learning. I proved myself wrong!
