I ended up quitting once I found a new term that I needed to cross-reference against virtually every piece of text I had previously seen and doing that against a massive folder of screenshots was just not realistic
Wouldn't even call it a decision. Often times these sorts of ports are handled by separate studios, not the folks who would make those sorts of design decisions. I definitely agree that the game would be much better with better in-game organization tools.

Obviously the current oil crisis is much more complex that one event, but every time I see Zanzibar while playing Victoria 3 that song has played in my head and I think it's funny to imagine that the current oil crisis is caused by the sultan of Oman living in Zanzibar now
