Looking forward to a busy couple of days at #NCASC25 including our session this afternoon β¬οΈ
Great trip to Bournemouth at the start of the week for Lib Dem Party Conference.
Lots of moving and insightful sessions on care, caring, health and community, and a really positive @vodgmembership.bsky.social roundtable on the Casey Commission with a focus on disabled people, carers and families.
Yesterday 86 charities came together to stand with disabled people and their organisations in calling for MPs to vote against the UC & PIP Bill proceeding.
With the vote for the Bill, our work continues to ensure the voices of disabled people continue to be heard and further changes made.
There is a great deal of concern about what the Universal Credit & PIP Bill - plus the Green Paper on #WelfareReform still out for consultation - mean for peopleβs lives.
We urge MPs to work with disabled people, families and carers to put disabled people at the heart of this Bill.

The government is planning to cut disability benefits. This could have a devastating impact on disabled people.
We need as many MPs as possible to speak out against disability benefits cuts before they're announced as early as Monday.

Great turnout at the #SectorPulseCheck launch.
Yes there are significant challenges, but clear determination by parliamentarians, providers and commissioners in the room to focus on the solutions and actions needed to do things differently to #SaveSocialCare.

At one point or other almost everyoneβs life will touch social care, either directly or via loved ones. The social care workforce is essential to ensuring people are able to access the care and support they need, when they need it.
We must invest in and #ValueSocialCare
