It turns into an influence of the vote issue if you handhold too much. WA provides everything in convenience to our mailboxes, provides a pamphlet with candidate statements. Voter is accountable for their vote, more info to decide is on them. Party label should stay as they run on the party's ticket
Rather go with the two most popular over a strict two party system. Does that sometimes mean sometimes the same party gets both slots? Yes. Want your party to get one of those slots? Have popular positions the majority of your constituents want to see run against the other during the primary.
Agreed. It's fucked and I hope the vote is called and it goes through. Sadly the fact Illinois has a traditional party primary system explains how this was able to happen with ease as it's an old tactic. It's less likely to happen in WA because of our Top-Two primary system.
