Can someone explain to me why neither OpenAI or Google have implemented this yet for their consumer facing products? At the very least in their Pro and Ultra plans (respectively) to start. A counter would be nice as well (like the one in Google AI studio).

"Instead of returning errors when conversations get too long, Claude Sonnet 4.5 will now generate responses up to the available limit and clearly indicate why it stopped. This eliminates frustrating interruptions and allows users to maximize their available context window".

Does anyone know if there are plans to have @bsky.app posts be indexed by Google? Was there a strategic decision behind not being indexable? I think this significantly limits growth potential and discoverability.

Who is susceptible to misinformation? We looked at >60,000 people from 24 countries who took our MIST test. Key results: Gen Z are more susceptible & those on the extreme right (but they don't know it).

Passport renewal screenshot
Has anyone been able to renew their Canadian passport online recently? I opted for digital-only photos to meet the online requirements, so Iβm trying to avoid retaking them just to get print copies for in-person renewal. I keep getting a message that daily capacity has been reached. Any tips?

Handwriting on a whiteboard, "Don't forget to vote!"
Please do not underestimate the importance of the current Canadian federal election. If you haven't done so already, be sure to vote. Today is the day. Let's try to get a record overall turnout. #GE45 #elxn45 #CanadaVotes

I'm in the process of building a list of Canadian government organizations with official Bluesky accounts. If you know of any at the federal, provincial/territorial, or municipal levels please let me know. I'll add the list to my profile. #canada #cdngov #cdnpoli

With so many AI models available (both free and paid), it can be hard to know which one to use for a specific task. Hereβs a handy, time-saving tool that ranks AI models by category. Give it a try πhttps://lmarena.ai/?leaderboard

Anyone else noticing that Google's Gemini Advanced still has a tough time telling the difference between political and non-political government content? I'm finding that the 'political content' guardrails kick in far too often and I end up switching over to other models #GenAI

Digital 2024 - We Are Social Canada
Our Digital 2024 report highlights everything you need to know about social media, internet, mobile and ecommerce trends globally.
I'm curious if anyone has come across reliable 2024 Canadian stats on the use of Threads, Bluesky, and X. Most surveys on this topic have non-representative sample sizes. I find the We Are Social reports decent, but the latest one doesn't include Threads or Bluesky.

PEW Research reports that almost half of U.S. adults under 30 are getting their news from online news influencers. I haven't seen any recent Canadian-specific surveys asking the same question, but I'm assuming it would be similar. Here's more on the topic: www.niemanlab.org/2024/11/two-...
