Was such a pleasure! Thank you Grace, and thank you KQED!
Jen--a thousand thanks for your enthusiasm!
You are too kind! Thank you!
Ah, thank you so much, Emily! Can't wait to see you on Thursday!
This was ridiculously fun. If only writing was as easy as answering questions like these! Thank you, @paniogianopoulos.bsky.social and the Next Big Idea Club! And Caleb Bissinger and Rufus Griscom! (Couldn't find names to tag!)
Emily, thank you so much for this! I'm always excited when I'm going to spent time with you--but to hear your thoughts about something I care about so much is really a privilege. Calling all Nerve alums! @loreleishark.bsky.social, will you help us get the word out? x!
Was thrilled to talk about my new book, The Family Dynamic: A Journey Inside the Mystery of Sibling Success, with the brilliant writer and thinker @paniogianopoulos.bsky.social for the Next Big Idea podcast; listen to the end for their cool preorder partnership! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/f...
@jennifersenior.bsky.social --your opinion means the world to me. Thank you for this. It gives me great joy.
I love that @alanburdick.bsky.social and the @nytimes.com are running videos and interviews like this one with John Green, about the tragedy of TB that is barreling down the tracks for tens of thousands of people: www.nytimes.com/2025/03/27/h...
I am thrilled to report that my book, THE FAMILY DYNAMIC: INSIDE THE MYSTERIES OF SIBLING SUCCESS, is now available for pre-order! Please take a peek (and share post if you can!): www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/624531...
Ah, thank you so much! Couldn't be more honored to be counted among this crowd.
Thank you!
I told my kid I was about to go Seven Fishes if I didn't get some help in the kitchen. You have never seen him run so fast.
By the way, where do I sign up for the guided tour through your head?
Jodi-thank you.
I'm a big ham, and I love having the opportunity to read my own magazine pieces for the audio version. But when Julia Whelan does the reading instead, I BOW DOWN--thank you, Julia, for your pitch-perfect narrating of this IVF mix-up story in the @nytimes.com: www.nytimes.com/2024/11/25/m...
This story happened in California. I kept thinking: How would this have played out in NY? I can't help but think it would be different! No shade to NYers, they're my people--but we're not the most easy-going crowd...
And I love your books!
What's amazing to me is how little the law came into it--in the sense that the families, for the most part, simply worked out what they were going to do. Guided by precedent, I suppose, but mostly by their guts and their mutual kindness.
Sarah, thank you so much for posting and the kind words.
Ron, thank you so much. Hope all's well in Chicago.
Jen. Thank you. xx
Ah, Pam, you legend, thank you!
This story--about two families whose embryos were switched in an IVF mix-up--was a privilege to report and write for the @nytimes.com . Their grace and generosity in the face of an impossible situation moves me to no end: www.nytimes.com/2024/11/25/m...
She nailed it! Someone should nominate that write-up for year's most apt write-ups list!
Wow, thanks Stephen! Your powers are mighty! HI all! Isn't Stephen THE ACTUAL BEST?
Ah, Jen, you are too kind! Hello and nice to meet you, followers of Jen--any friend of the great @jennifersenior is a friend of mine!
