Higgins seems to have fully switched into spring/summer mode. He wakes up full of energy and wanting to walk. We kept this pace the entire time.

I believe.
Americans aren't alone in refusing vaccines. Many countries have had massive measles outbreaks in recent years. Go look at how many countries have fallen off the measle-free list this year alone. And there's a direct line from current US anti-vaxxers to Andrew Wakefield who was in the UK.
Please, my masculinity, itβs very fragile

(We canβt afford the hardbacks! Let us support authors in a more reasonable way!)
It wasnβt my original idea, but I agree with whomever said that publishing is absolutely backwards. Paperback should come out first, and then if the book is really popular, they should publish a special hardback.
do what I do and tell them they speak excellent english for an American. Try to sound genuinely impressed, it's a blast.
Itβs lightly sprinkling outside and thereβs a turtle laying on a log in the pond with its legs stretched out and its head pointed up, enjoying the sprinkles. Just a tiny good thing happening in the world.
Rachel Sugar's byline is apt on a lot of her stories, but it seems *especially* perfect here.
Running for Congress on a platform of sneaking into Polymarket HQ and unplugging all their stuff. Overflow crowds at a local Knights of Columbus hall roar with delight as I promise to pour Florida's Natural Grapefruit Juice (with pulp) into the USB-C port of every computer in the damn place.
is anyone embarrassed anymore or just me
Front page of The Journal of AI Generated Papers
I think this journal is a great idea -- it makes it really convenient to completely avoid all these papers at the same time.
Please protect us by wearing a mask (preferably KN95 or better) in public spaces
They come either in earloops which are great but straps are more protective

Six years ago
had I known
what was about to happen
I would have looked around
so I could appreciate
(all things considered)
how good I had it.
Six years from now
I just hope
that I do not find myself
looking back at today
and (all things considered)
thinking the same thing.
I'm just annoyed that I feel like all the knowledge and the technology we have means we could all be having a really nice time and scientists could be doing science and everyone could have enough food and shelter and everything they need but instead *gestures at everything*
Albuquerque city council just mostly gutted a long-in-the-works planned zoning change that would have greatly expanded the amount of housing options permitted in most of the city, expanding options and lowering costs. Gotta prioritize brutality against those with nothing I guess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This week has been one hell of a month

Tweet that says, "Iβm sure this will make you sad too, but Iβm also using Claude to second guess home contractors. The licensed electrician was lying to me (or just totally wrong) about the kind of wiring in my house and recommending an expensive and unnecessary job."
This is the sort of thing I'm talking about in just implicitly trusting AI and acting like it doesn't hallucinate.
If you had to hire an electrician in the first place, what makes you think you're qualified to judge Claude's output to determine if the electrician is wrong?
saw an ad where she tells some ai βtransfer $300 from my savings to my checking accountβ and i was like holy shit are people actually giving an llm access to their bank account so i searched it and the top results are βHow to stop __ from taking money?β and βHow to Actually Cancel __ w/o get scamβ

a person in a minty green and purple luna moth costume that looks like those PokΓ©mon onesies but it's a lunar and it's kind of amazing and the person looks really happy and in the corner there is a picture of a luna moth I suppose for comparison in the upper right corner it says "Luna moth costume"
The person is giving a side view of the lunamoth costume and they're standing on their tippy toes and there is a bigger picture of a luna moth and the bottom corner and in the top right of the picture it says "Glow like the night transform with the luna moth!"
I was searching for a keychain but instead I found a new dream
