B-Rank Hunters (or equivalent) would have a hard time doing enough damage before getting stopped. A and S-Rank Hunters could have chance, but there isnt really much incentive to do so.

Definitely not easy by mistake. While most of Vivian’s powers go into the crystal growth, she has enough power focused on the barrier of her core (or, her crystalized body rather). She would need to be hit by someone who is extremely powerful to completely shatter her.

Most land resources are under strict control and protection. Most things regrow in time.

And the way common demon world biology works… unless an intensive concentrated effort is made, neither demon beast or people are gonna go extinct.

Major factions to utterly eliminate those responsible. The crystals do take time to grow, and some are higher quality than others. (Exact reason for quality difference is unknown in universe. As of now, it is intentional by Vivian for apprentices to have a low risk practice in shaping and tuning)2/3

#Marchistics The energy conversion crystals will continue to grow as long as Sage Vivian is intact (i.e. not shattered). Thankfully, the various factions of the Guild Lands all agree that shouldn’t happen. So someone sabotaging her village/crystals is very slim. Not to mention would unite all 1/3

The gathering of natural resources that are only available in the human world is usually done by a company, with Hunter escorts. Sometimes one of the Big Three guilds acquire materials directly. Since the demon world is 1/5

I can think of a couple ways to get around the typical finite restriction. Just have to evaluate how/if it affects anything else in canon.

(There is only one exception to the finite rule, but Rory is… absolutely ridiculous in everything about her).

Them being a sage material would explain the relatively recent incorporation into society of the crystals. But a big part of sage lore has been that their formed materials are finite in quantity.

Even Osiris steel doesn’t really increase in quantity, just is nearly indestructible.

“Allied” and Neutral demon tribes in the demon world do exist. The former will actively ask for help and the other is a “leave us be, no matter what” sort of thinking.

Most keep mind the words on the Unopening Gates: When peace reigns, the Maker shall return. (Tho not everyone believes the words are literal, or even the Gates exist).

So, unnecessary aggression is discouraged, as most dont interpret the words as “eradicate all demons”.
