I think “all the American voter cares about is gas prices” is overly simplistic and broadly incorrect

but I sure as shit think they are going to care about them rising this much this fast

Going to work tonight cleared up a lot of internal struggles for me.

I had a new league in front of me, I had just been in the hospital, and I still can barely eat.

I had every reason and excuse to stay home.

I love my family more than all of that.

Nice to know that about myself.

I do the same thing with older book series and older anime more often than I am comfortable admitting.

An unspeakable horror. Even in the midst of all that is going wrong, impossible to overstate how foul this is.

"I didn't see a single building standing the entire time I was in Gaza. I didn't see one building intact or standing.

Everything was flattened. And when I mean flattened, it was hard to even tell that they were buildings there before."

Easily my most watched MCU movie outside of Winter Soldier.

Winning story, amazing characters, exceptional setting, soundtrack that hit all the right moods at all the right times.

I suspect it's something like 'why are all these old people yelling at each other about things that happened in the 90's?"

This feels like a very questionable looney tunes bit from the 50's that would have just barely squeaked by some overworked manager.

We are currently outside the ICE Broadview concentration camp where Sunny Naqvi’s family believes her to be held after being detained in O’Hare by federal authorities.

This Is Why They Hate Us The same question we had 25 years ago is asked again, and the answer is the same.

Once again we’re asking “Why do they hate us?” And the answer is the same: It’s not because of our freedom, it’s because of what we do to them.

Remember how this guy lobbied hard to get a pardon for a war criminal who slaughtered children? Turns out that’s literally his entire philosophy of armed conflict

You have no idea how heartened I am to hear that. I sincerely, with all of my heart, hope that the good vibes continue.

Wishing you and yours all the best good sir.

I mean, it's a security thing: so long as the Gulf of Hormuz is insecure to strikes, insurers are going to freak

it's insane that my country's current position is that, if we don't like the leader of a sovereign nation, not only do we get to kill them we get to pick their successor

It’s a good thing that the S&P isn’t being propped up by 7 companies who’s entire business has shifted to an insanely energy intensive unproven technology that has to continue to show advancing or risk a bubble bursting.

Because that would be bad

what’s even more extraordinary is that the economy was mostly doing okay despite his absolute best efforts - as damaging as his tariffs and immigration policies are, we hadn’t tipped over into a recession

and so, unsatisfied, he decided to kick the economy in the dick with a huge oil shock

This kind of dogged persistence is the only thing that will let us recapture even a shred of what we have lost.

God bless Marisa and her tenacious work.

Full charges on war crimes or we haven't even begun to see how dark things will get for us and everyone else.

Either we hold everyone in a leadership position responsible for this or we keep getting more of it.

If the modern GOP has taught me anything, it's that standards we refuse to enforce effectively do not exist.

Hegseth needs to stand trial after this as a war criminal. Between this attack and the girls' school, there's no ambiguity. He is responsible for mass murder and must be held accountable.

“I have no intention of starting a war with you” I say as I airstrike your entire government into dust, sink your whole navy, destroy your air force, and demand your unconditional surrender

“MAGA’s fundamental shared quality is a total lack of theory of mind for other people” is a theory that keeps getting validated by reality - look at almost every decision they’ve made in the war with Iran, and how they seem constantly surprised by the unanticipated actions of other parties.
