Happy birthday, Inari!!!
Indeeeeeeed~
Thanks bear!
Thought I'd try out a new kind of outfit for the big bear, and I'm pleasantly surprised with how it suits him!
Calbar always prides himself on smelling nice (usually with some sort of spiced or fruity fragrance).
But he'll happily accept some chest snuggles!
"Overalls," they call these...
*snap*
Good luck finding something that'll go over ALL this!
@jamejarrs.hoot.gay Thank you so much for this piece!
I challenge anyone to find a pair of suspenders that *could* handle all this bear!
Thank you so much for this piece, Jame!!
These suspenders clearly aren't enough to handle all this bear
Stream comm for @centurioncalbar.bsky.social! #JameArt

Hell yeah, Tur!!!!
Best wishes with the new job!
Goooood mornin, Mr. Coyote!
That definitely looks like a co-counsel who has a Book of Grudges.
But it's just "The human doesn't give me enough treats or pets." messily written over and over again.
I did!!!
Happy birthday, Sol!
Big bear hugs for ya!
Happy birthday, Callum!!!
Big dragon gets big hugs!
Anyways, I neeeeeed to sleep, or I will be up on this soapbox with you for the next several hours.
(I *love* talking history and education like this, fwiw.)
I think a lot of Americans would remember "winning at Saratoga caused the French to support us, and they sent a bunch of boats to Yorktown."
As most things we learn in our earlier history classes are, it's a *massive* oversimplification that misses a lot of important nuances and factors.
I'd pretty much sum it up like that, too.
Plus, on top of all the other things, a lot of history classes do not want to get into the uncomfortable topics.
And OH BOY, does the French Revolution have a lot of very important but very uncomfortable topics!
Class politics, religion, violence, and the intersection thereof, to name but a few.
That definitely happens for a lot of folks, too!
Though, teaching about 1871 at all gets skipped over in most American history classes.
(My perspective is from one of the American education systems, so I definitely like to hear from outside perspectives, too!!)
History education in general before college-level stuff does a really bad job at segmenting historical eras.
Plus, it gets boiled down to 'memorize names and dates' and not 'understand causes and effects and nuance' because of standardized testing.
Not to mention a shallow knowledge at best on the things that led to the Revolution.
Say, they can probably point to the French's investment in the American Revolution as one of the things that led to them running out of money, but not much more than that.
I'd guess that a lot of folks' understanding of the French Revolution jumps from 1789 to vaguely 1810ish?
Namely, viewing the French Revolution and Napoleon as two distinct periods, rather than a continuous throughline, because their history class kinda just glossed over it like that.
Me 3 hours ago: Chiding someone else for not going to bed on time.
Me now: Looking at pictures of Alan Cumming's various outfits on The Traitors for future ideas for Calbar
Sleep is very much a "do as I say, not as I do" thing.
Yes, that just might!
I know my fur is orange, but my face would turn *bright red* if you did that to me out of nowhere.
I'd be quite happy, but quite red.
๐ Zee out here with art that makes ME look skinny
Shucks, very kind of you, Victor!
You are really cool, too!
We do call him Cuteo for a reason!
Ooooo!! Have fun, Jamie!!
