Yes. I hate hate hate gerrymandering and I feel dirty having to do it now. But we did not start this.

Yesterday I voted YES on the redistricting amendment. One minute and very pleasant.
Tomorrow, Sun. 3/8 at noon Iβll be knocking on doors for the amendment. Talking to committed Dems to remind them to vote. Let me know if youβd like to join β or to do phone banking or postcard writing.
Neither are testicles a good jumping pad for getting off the sofa.
I once again had the supremely decadent Torta Cubano from El Comalito on Ninth Street NE in Charlottesville. I have hit my protein quota for the week. Fantastic.
All of our living presidents who still have a sense of decency gathered to honor Rev. Jesse Jackson.
Respect recognizes respect.

Thatβs supposed to happen, right??
Get that sucker under oath. Make him invoke the fifth amendment over and over again on national television.
Wow did something happen in the US in January 2025?

March 6, first day of early voting on the crucial redistricting referendum. Thanks to Josh Throneberg and family for setting a good example! Vote early if you can, but PLEASE vote!
Blue & white "Indivisible Charlottesville" logo with light blue outline of the state of VA, red star where Charlottesville is, and "ALL HANDS MEETING, MAR 7"

An image of the following statement: Statement Against the US Attacks on Iran 2 March 2026 Indivisible Charlottesville condemns the US attacks on Iran and the Iranian people. We call for a cessation of military operations by the US and its allies. We call on our elected representatives to do their constitutional duty to block these unlawful actions that are killing Iranians and Americans, harming our national security and economy, and destabilizing the region and the world. We stand with those who have been bravely protesting the authoritarian regime in Iran, and we reject the idea that military strikes will bring the freedom and self-determination the Iranian people are demanding. A war with Iran is immoral and illegal, and disastrous for the Iranian people and for all of us. The Trump administration unilaterally launched military strikes against Iran without approval from the US Congress or evidence of an imminent threat. Since the war started, hundreds of people have been killed, including multiple US military personnel and Iranβs Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. A bomb was dropped on an elementary school in Minab, a city in southern Iran, killing dozens of children and injuring dozens more. We stand in solidarity with the people of Iran and our Iranian neighbors. We resist Islamophobia and xenophobia, which have long been part of the fascist playbook. With retaliatory strikes under way, the escalation into a regional war looms large. US Military leaders have warned of a prolonged campaign incurring significant costs to US forces and munitions. The US government should be spending taxpayer money on housing, jobs, and healthcare rather than sending Americans to kill and be killed. We cannot tolerate having our nation's domestic and foreign policy decisions being made in this authoritarian, undemocratic, harmful way. Earlier this year, our elected officials failed to oppose the current US regime's invasion of Venezuela and the kidnapping of its president.β¦
Our Statement on the US attacks on #Iran. We call on Congressman John McGuire and @kaine.senate.gov and @markwarner.bsky.social to show courage & stop hiding from their Constitutional duties.
Can we finally stop calling this party, which is now exuberantly celebrating the violent death of young girls, the βpro-lifeβ party?
βI fret, therefore I am.β
This is indeed shocking. Our hearts go out to the hundreds of bereaved families.
The Cville Democrats are organizing door-to-door canvassing and phone banking this coming weekend, March 7 and 8, to support the TEMPORARY redistricting to counter the unconscionable mid-term partisan gerrymandering in Texas and Florida. Send a private message if you would like to volunteer.
Apoplectic.
This job does not come with benefits. I don't get vacation time. I pay health care coverage, but I don't seek out care and likely never will because I won't be able to afford it. This job also does not come with assistance. I don't want anyone to work for free and so far I don't have nearly enough money coming in to guarantee. I have some ideas, but ideas take time to implement and every day there's another story to break. The job is incredibly fulfilling as sometimes it feels like a character in a 21st Century Graham Greene novel, a foreign correspondent in a place of intrigue. I don't have family here and I seem to resist the idea of fitting in. I bore people mostly, so I stick to myself. If you're not a paid subscriber, you now have another option. You can make a charitable contribution to support my journalism and my hope at some point is to begin to use this to fundraise to hire people. I'm not there yet, but for nearly six years I have sought to implement my vision. I plan to continue doing that, because despite my perpetual sense of being an outsider, I've been doing this work a long time and I'll never find anything as fulfilling.
sitting outside and catching up on stuff tonight, most definitely including a few recent Sean Tubbs newsletters. constantly amazed at how lucky we are to have this wonderful man doing his thing here. if youβre not already giving him a reliable monthly donation, I really encourage you to start!
Oh, this is ruthless β but very well deserved.
New campaign logo just dropped.
Statesmanship.
