It depends on the location and what we want to see. We usually road trip, so most of the 'on the way' places are for 3 days max (usually only for a single day). But the main destinations we try to spend 1 - 2 weeks there.

It's always us together as a couple (and our dogs whenever we can, but not every time).

We'll savor the food, wake up a little more, take our dogs for a walk and talk about the main sights and trail(s) for the day (with anything extra we can fit in an added bonus) πŸ—ΊοΈ

We light up the gas grill, grab one of the pans, mix up the pancake mix and start making some pancakes, coffee and some bacon. We do our best to split the load where we'll alternate who cooks or we'll do it together.

No shower to start the morning, but a coffee is an absolute must β˜• Without that I'm essentially useless. Then I let the coffee work until I need to use the pit toilet!

Glamping Near Olympic National Park – Our Stay at Mossquatch Resort Looking for unique, dog-friendly glamping near Olympic National Park? Check out Mossquatch Resort near Forks, WAβ€”just minutes from Rialto Beach and La Push.

It was a super cool experience!! They have an outdoor kitchen, firepit and even a queen size bed in the tent (with a gas heater!). We wrote a post about it a little while back, if you're interested!

Late in the morning (9 to 10am) after having a chance to sleep in, relax and just enjoy being there. Probably looking for things to do around the area like local restaurants, experiences, hikes, and places nearby to drive to πŸš—

This question brings me back to when we woke up in our yurt west of Forks (Mossquatch) in the Olympic Peninsula and visting Olympic NPβ›Ί We woke up to cloudy skies, but beautiful coastal views 🌊 One of the coolest places we stayed at for a few days.

Badlands National Park in Winter: A Guide to Visiting in January No crowds, frozen landscapes, and golden sunrises. Here is why visiting Badlands National Park in the winter might be better than the summer.

We stopped at #BadlandsNationalPark in January 2021 on our road trip to Glacier (our 1st x-country trip).

It was slightly below freezing & we pulled in just before sunrise.

We visited again in summer 2024, but that winter morning will always be special.

Ours would be Yosemite. It's the park that we road tripped to and spent 2 weeks at during our honeymoon ❀️

We believe everyone should have access to National Parks.

But when encouragement becomes an overcrowding problem, what can National Parks do to help control the numbers of visitors other than what is currently being done already?

We love sharing photos from our travels, but as AI becomes more common, we’ve been thinking about how much viewers can trust what they see.

Is AI generated art about nature still β€œnature art”? Where’s the line between enhancing a photo vs fabricating one?

I have some hearing loss in my right ear and this is my thought process, too! When sleeping at home, if there is any noise outside, I rotate my deaf-er ear up and, poof, it's gone. Or, well, reduced #ParkChat
