Melissa is absolutely right. We might be traditionally published, and we might occasionally break out with a bestseller, but midlist authors are often neglected by publishers while the big titles suck up all the oxygen. There are some brave and exciting books out there that deserve a lot more hype!

True, but... the Dredd story that has haunted me since the 80s is The Tale of Little Bonny Crickle where he tries to do a little good and it goes horribly wrong. It's a very sad little story.
