The odds of an impact from the asteroid 2024 YR4 just went up a teeny bit. That's expected, but the good news is we're getting JWST observations of it in a few weeks! That'll help nail down its size and maybe help with an impact prediction.

Sad to report I just lost my job at nuclear, after 40 years of faithful service overseeing the US nuclear arsenal. My job was keeping all the nukes from exploding by pressing the don't explode button every 48 hours.

Yesterday we went to a Destroy Boys gig here in Munich. The place was amazing, the support act - Girlband! - fantastic, and the people, oh, the people… I felt like I finally belong, among punks, goths, antifascist, queers people. This is my people, the place where you will always find me.
The most tragic thing with humankind is that in the end we are nothing, but we behave like we are everything.
(This is one of the lakes near my house, and they are dying because of anthropic activities).

Tempo fa un erudito post del FT sosteneva più o meno questa teoria: gli Stati Uniti falliscono nel contrastare una deriva autoritaria perché, a differenza della vecchia Europa, non avendo mai avuto la malattia non ne hanno sviluppato gli anticorpi istituzionali. 1/3

Eh, sono diventata un’appassionata da un paio di anni :).
I cruciverba e i giochi di cui sono abbastanza sicura a penna, quelli più complicati, in cui so che cancellerò tanto, a matita :).
