Latinos broke 60-40 for Talarico. That wasn't an accident.
@chuckrocha.bsky.social & @mikemadrid.bsky.social break down the Texas primary, the grassroots machine behind it, and why the 2026 Latino surge is just getting started!

At some point, and we may be way past it, you canβt just call time out.
what is the case for thinking that the duration of the conflict will be up to Trump?
There's a pretty clear negative correlation between Hispanic counties and Democratic turnout increase from 2022 in Texas.
LOL. Left side of this chart doing all the work. Right side is mostly tiny counties with fewer voters, and most of those still show a 1.5 increase. The big raw population Latino counties are in the middle and left and show 2x and 3x increases. Gotta keep the customers paying $ tho.
Democrat looking to take on Tom Barrett in my district.
A graphic showing the growing partisan divide in the U.S. -- a pattern that is specific to partisanship. In 1994, the average difference across 10 political values items was 15 percentage points. That gap more than doubled by 2017. Gaps by other demographic groupings remained more or less constant during the same period.
I recently had the opportunity to dig up this chart from an old Pew report:
www.pewresearch.org/politics/201...
In my years at Pew, this was the most striking image that I had a part in producing. The graphic takes a little explaining, but the payoff is worth it. (1/
Tomorrow marks the 61st anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Selma, Alabama. It also marks the 60th anniversary of the Supreme Court first upholding the Voting Rights Act.
We have gotten so, so far away from a Court that cares about democracy.

This is a chilling crime. A shame on our country. The Iranian ship was unarmed. The US knew this. The sailors were murdered by our navy, and the survivors were left to die at sea.

If you believe breakeven payrolls are like 0. This should be one of the most terrifying graphs
People who donβt pay attention to politics are about to find out how far out into the deep waters the current has pulled them. I do not trust them to react reasonably or rationally to that at all.

The numbers were dramatic: In five different rural majority-Latino counties, more votes were cast in Tuesdayβs Democratic primary than for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

Donβt get me wrong, Cornyn is a more formidable candidate than Paxton. But I donβt think itβs by as much as people seem to think. Heβs fully tied himself to Trump, whose approval rating is now slightly underwater in Texas (and might drop further given Iran and god knows what else). And this becomes a much simpler βthrow the bums outβ outsider vs. career DC politician dynamic
And the age/generational/attention economy divide could not be more stark (Cornyn is 74 and looks far older and more visibly frail than he did in 2020).
Yah.
