YES. I've always found my background in (frustrating, challenging, ultimately rewarding) classical voice to be a great credit to learning in general and witchcraft in particular.
As another witch who comes from the classical music world, this is completely spot on.

Oof, that sounds awful. At least this is only a couple nights most months.
You know, I don't mind most of the long-term-witchcraft side effects. Even the ones that make people reluctant to invite me to dinner parties since I no longer know how to have a "normal" conversation. But I am so over full moon insomnia. Can't I just swap this for a new hyperfixation or something?

(3)... I remind myself that we lost three children during the Spanish Flu epidemic (Harriet, Martha, and Ruth). I remind myself that further back, my ancestors survived the Potato Famine. They survived the English. They survived the Vikings...
(2) ...to continuing to build the world to come.
For my part, my mind turns again and again and again to our ancestors. In every story of humanity, shadows loom: war, disease, famine, despair. I remind myself that my grandmother begged for food on the streets as a child...
