The problem with it is the awful way the effects look. It was too digital and crisp. The acting is as good as some of the game was, so I can forgive all that.
But I'll say this. If it was on VHS and I watched it in the 90s on an old CRT TV, i'd probably hail the film as a masterpiece.
Am I going to regret this? The first one is one of my favourite films and Silent Hill 2 is my favourite game.

IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS from @echohorror.com is the most unique movie novelization I can think of because it works not only as a novelization, but also as a prop replica from the movie itself.
It's also a pretty fun read.

Currently writing a 1st person pov chapter of a novelization for film that made me get a large tribal tattoo..
I had lots of awesome calls over the past year with Mark Jones about novelizations for Rumpelstiltskin and Leprechaun. He was a wonderful guy and will be missed. #rip #leprechaun
The biggest annoyance is licensing the rights to adapt a script, but no one having a copy of that script... so the project will have to be cancelled. I have 4 projects like this at the moment.
