I had one like that. The reviewer was Very Upset that the grant wasnβt continuing a completely different area of research my lab had done in the past. Sigh.
Makes me think of that commercial where a kid says, earnestly, βI want to claw my way up to middle managementβ
There are students on campus that are giving complements to everyone the come into contact with on campus. So far I've gotten, "I like your mug" and "I like your sweater". I hope these students ace all of their exams all semester.

Itβs so good!
A slice of good news:
I *do* count submitted as an article on a CV (just slightly less than published). Others on hiring and grants committees Iβve been on do, too.
It means the work is final enough to be submitted, which is very different from βin preparationβ (which could be βconcepts of a planβ).
A great resource to help you pick responsible journals to publish in.
I think itβs cut off on the right and is supposed to say βwe β€οΈ our iceβ
My photo shows the left side profile of a head of a cave lion skilfully carved from mammoth ivory some 40,000 years ago (Aurignacian culture). Carved details include muzzle, nose, eye, raised ears, and cross-hatching on the neck to indicate a mane. The ivory is a light creamy brown in colour with a surface sheen, and darker patches caused by time spent buried in the ground. It is displayed against a dark background. The head measures 2.95 cm in length x 2.11 cm in height. On display Landesmuseum WΓΌrttemberg Stuttgart.
Wonderful Ice Age art!
Some 40,000 years ago, this tiny head of a cave lion was skilfully sculpted from mammoth ivory. It is one of the oldest known works of figurative art!

Boosting this! I got my titers checked when the TX measles outbreak happened, and it turned out I was no longer immune to measles so I got the vax again. (I originally got the MMR vax in 1989 and still had immunity to mumps and rubella.)

Oh no, this is sad news. I met her when I was at Science Meets Parliament when she was Minister of Science. She was gracious and joyful, and I so appreciated her work towards progressing equity in science. An incredible role model.
Unfortunately, I didn't bookmark it!
This made me laugh/cry because that's what my poorly cared for inbox looks like all the time. π
