My cat took a while to forgive me for not being sat up to cuddle, but I'm not allowed to stop petting her belly.

Today's disability levels: almost fell down a flight of stairs, got to my classroom, then almost fell sideways out of my chair. 👍🏻

My cat spends the early hours of the morning squished between me and the arm of the couch so that I can pet her with one hand as I type with the other.

When stop petting her to drink my coffee, she now insists on sniffing the mug first like she's a poison tester for the queen. 😆

I used to have a tv in my bedroom with two channel knobs, an antenna, and no remote.

They removed the pride flag from Stonewall. 🏳️‍🌈 Just a daily reminder that they want to eradicate us. Their white supremacy is transphobic, homophobic and a war against the poor, mentally ill, physically ill, neurodivergent, intellectuals, poets, artists, queers, dissidents. The left. You. Me.

I guess folks are sick of hearing about the invasion of my city, especially as some tiny symbolic concessions have been made and the lawmakers might kind of talk about giving the invaders slightly less money. But it's still happening. We are still invaded. They are still abducting my neighbors.

I can't help connecting the way that neighbors have been keeping one another safe with the way that this encourages you to trust technology to pay attention instead -- you can look away. You don't need to observe or take note of anything around you.
