For sure. Sorry to mostly lurk today w/o much to share. But I do need to run to deal with the garden and yard stuff before it's too hot today. Thanks to this thread, I'll be spreading those red pepper flakes! Great tip! #FreelanceFriends

Sorry they put you all through that Devon. Jerks.
Thanks for the reminder on LI!
A1: I haven't changed much other than scaling back client work to focus on publishing projects. But I'd already been doing that for a bit. It helps that I've always tried to be elastic in the sense of maintaining flexibility and diversity. It means outside factors have less impact. #FreelanceFriends
Hi everyone. I'm Jenn. I'm a CT-based freelance business writer, publisher, and PR pro. Just popping in for a bit, then off for yardwork before the heat hits too hard. #FreelanceFriends

Congrats on the contracts! That's great news. And it's always nice to hear about landlords taking care of things with all the horror stories out there. Glad you have a good one. ๐

Oh no! I'm out of the loop. Are you having your place painted?
Looking forward to it Paula!
Heads up #Freelancers. All Freelance Writing founder and new owner of @wellfedwriter.bsky.social Jennifer Mattern is our special guest for this week's #FreelanceFriends. Weโll be discussing business skills that can help make or break your freelance business. Be there Thursday at NoonET/9amPT.
Happy birthday!
I was worried about the new Matlock initially because the original absolutely did not need a remake. But I love how they... didn't. Still wish they didn't rely on the old brand to push it rather than just going with the concept on its merit alone, but I'll enjoy some Kathy Bates all the same.
Good then? I'm taking off this coming week and binge-watching this during all the expected snow is high on my to-do list.
Companies that are removing/altering DEI info from websites, reports, etc. need to understand that they are prioritizing an untenable and unethical ideology over the very real human beings who are their employees and customers. And people can have very long memories.
I didn't feel anything in CT. We must have been too far south. But even if we did, I probably would have blamed the cats anyway. Those morning zoomies can be intense.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you, and wishing you lots of comfy warm blankets and hot drinks in the meantime!
I hope you're feeling better soon!
One of the neat things about Scrivener is that no matter how long you use it, there always seems to be more to learn.
Somehow I ended up with both. ๐ญ
Chronic pain + noise sensitivity
I feel this in my bones. ๐ฉ
Ours did this when it was new. Dealer could never find a leak, so we suspect it was a pressure cap issue letting small amounts spurt out. If that happens, it might burn (not a big deal, but you'll smell it through the vents). If you do get that smell, take it in to check for leaks or get a new cap.
Awesome. You're good. When the engine is cold (not driven for a while), just top it off to the min line. Then keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't drop below the next time you take the car out. Certainly not low enough to cause issues atm.
When cold, you'll often be around the min line and it'll expand when things warm up as you drive. Just add a little when you can (not to max while it's cold), and keep an eye on it. I'd only be concerned if you see it dip again quickly. Then it could be a leak.
Type of tank said "coolant," but I never want to risk a mistake and have someone dump the wrong fluid in any tank. ๐ Confirmation from Google image search for the win! If it's indeed a Kia, you're just a little low on coolant. If the car was cold, you're not far off at all.
Nevermind. Just did an image search, and it's definitely Kia and definitely coolant. ๐
Not 100% on this. That's a pretty small tank. I can't tell from the photo what kind of car it is or if anything else is connected to the tank. Could always be wiper fluid (all sorts of colors there, especially if it's a de-icer fluid). But I'm certain coolant/anti-freeze comes in that pepto tone. ๐
It can also be a brand thing. Our dealers' is blue, but I think that's more of a brand choice than a chemical difference because I know ours is compatible with green.
Several colors! Bit of a background in auto mechanics, and until our most recent vehicle I'd only used green myself. I believe the different makeup / colors have to do with how they prevent corrosion in certain engine types. You can also find orange and blue. Possibly more.
