lysimachia atropurpurea, a plant with elongated gray-green leaves and tall, curving purple flower spikes.
Finally found a nursery that carries this bizarre cultivar of gooseneck loosestrife I've been obsessed with ever since I saw it on somebody's gardening Pinterest board.

We forget how poor health education is in this country. People's health classes are taught by their gym teachers. The sex ed scene from Mean Girls is a dead-on impression of what health ed was like in the 90s and it has only gotten worse.
You are correct and he is correct. There are lots of moms out there who feel socially pressured to refuse vaccinations and whose primary source of health information is online influencers. Compassion and education--which is what the whole concept of public health is for--is the way with most of them
