Kickstarter United is on strike!
We are not asking for a boycott! Creators & Allies: Please continue to support & use the platform
swipe for ways to show your solidarity
Why We're Striking
A codified 4-day work week.
We simply want to protect the way we've been working for over 3.5 years. The 4dww has proven benefits, such as increased productivity and improved employee satisfaction. It's part of what makes Kickstarter a special, innovative place to work.
Fair pay for our lowest-paid workers.
We're fighting for livable minimum salaries for roles that are undervalued by the market but crucial to keeping Kickstarter running. We believe none of our workers should struggle to make ends meet.

Learning labor history has given me hope for a better world because people in much worse conditions than I am in were able to make the world a better place.
So I know it's possible for me, and I try to learn as much as I possibly can from them.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I have spicy hot takes on numerous topics, but the most important platforms I elevate are collective social media accounts. Please follow @techworkersberlin.com (and soon the global variant) for actual important work I do

I used a virtual email address unfortunately, so unclear which one that is...and certainly not one customer support has time/resources for. Nonetheless, I've sent an impersonation take-down request. Thank you for the helpful advice! The re-authentication is now resolved

Any idea how to find out the "display username" or email for bsky.app/profile/did:... (which was abandoned after password reset didn't work a year ago?) It now exists...but I'd like to delete it.

Domain authentication in BlueSky is nice feature. You can be confident that @techworkersberlin.com is official (same thing as @techworkersber.bsky.social) but the tagging/display link in BSKY seems to be quite buggy still. My own profile still displays "invalid handle" with no suggestions

On the one hand, access to niche communities allows development of local norms/networking with aligned interests. It also entrenches filter bubbles and mono-cultures....on other hand, we see monopolizing tendencies benefit the most well resourced spammers and state actors...

I am curious to see what comes of this platform. I think most users want a simple feed without the clutter/noise. I am impressed with the domain based verification system but few people will do that
