"Coercion is illegal..."
Show me where I threatened anyone to act in an involuntary manner, such a threat being key to coercion.
Nowhere did I say "I will cease A if AI and tech bros cease B", I merely made a comparison.
You AI bots are stupid!
We're supposed to believe AI is intelligent? Right!

Oh, OK.
I think some folks think things will just magically happen to them even if they just sit there and do nothing.
I didn't become a published illustrator and cover artist by magic, I did so by creating art, submitting art to editors and publishers, and repeating the process until I saw works accepted.
Oh, I will add one more thing โ comments like yours are probably one of the reasons why older and/or more experienced artists are unwilling to give advice to younger/less experienced ones. The snotty attitude is a major put-off! We don't need to put up with it!

I did SOME networking on a scifi forum, but that only led to me becoming friendly with one editor/publisher (the one who featured my art for a time in her own PoD stores).

It took work to get my art on items in my stores, and it takes work to manage my stores, but I do sell items featuring my art through my stores, oftentimes internationally.
I already knew my artwork would sell on merchandise because I had previously (1999-2001) sold hand-colored framed prints and bookmarks at local arts and crafts and medieval fairs.
I saw the first sale through my own stores about a month after I opened them.

Published illustrations led to doing illustrations on assignment/commission for certain editors and publishers. One such editor/publisher asked to feature some of my art on items in her print-on-demand stores (for a cut of the royalties). I agreed. In 2010, I opened the first of my own stores.

There's no magic formula โ I did it by doing it.
One thing kind of led to another.
I first began submitting poetry to editors. One editor saw art I had on a website at that time and suggested I start subbing illustrations as well as poetry. I did so, and started seeing my illustrations accepted.

Wow! Has a certain writing world X troll who switched for a time to political trolling stop trolling altogether?
Looks like it!
What, did he finally get his meds sorted out, or something like that? The dude had been responsible for some serious trollery.

If it was me, I'd do it, but then I suspect that I already have a bad reputation in the writing world online and really don't give a damn. However, as both writer/poet AND visual artist, I consider being against AI as a matter of principle.
