Honestly surprising that CNN would do something like that after the WBros-Disc acquisition got cemented and those people left because of a memo saying they'd being focusing on one side of the political aisle.

I believe "how easy was this to run," or "how little work did I have to do to make this work" was one of the important factors @slyflourish.com used for his big 5e adventure rating video(s).

Haven't run Nimble 2e yet (1e is a set of 5e house rules). The only note is that it's not at 5e-compatible as one may believe.
You can run 5e adventures with it OK, but monsters, character options etc. aren't super quick/easy because Nimble's significantly (intentionally) different from 5e.
But now I have so many folders and I don't know what's in all of them. But yes, at least I know ... they're there... somewhere......
It's funny, DMing can be seen as difficult OR easy! There are folk in threads saying there're people that make DMing seem scary and difficult in order to put others off of DMing (why?)
Id like to think that DMing can be as easy or difficult as you make it, but IME caring about it makes it difficult
Yup! 13th Age's "Flee!" rules are lovely.
...2/2 but then DnD went with them controlling physical alterations in 5e, which was fine but I didn't really see a lot of flavor written into it. but you make such an interesting cultural phenomenon behind it, it actually provides inspiration that adds some awesome spice and makes me want to use it
I didn't know you did one on dwarf genders as well! Love it. Personally I stole a lot from Discworld re: dwarves and gender, but IMO you elf one stuff is worth stealing. Because the idea of elves controlling their appearance via glamour has been a thing in mythology...1/2
That was an interesting read! So re: your elves, are the low number of elf-births strictly because of the whole societal lady-lock stigma?
5e14 called it magic. 5e24 calls it "the power of nature." Personally, yes that's magic. It's been magic in every other edition. If you're using 5e14 as context for the 5e24 druid to figure out rules-as-intent, magic.
But just arguing in a vacuum rules-as-written, it's vague. so DM has to rule it.
Google's started doing this as well, using Gemini instead of the old Google Assistant; everyone's just waiting until they force the update and you can't roll it backπ’
What's (not) funny is all the frustrated Google Home users saying they're going to switch to Alexa, when Amazon's doing the same.
You did the art for Skald! Great, creepy stuff!
Wow, that Discworld map is nuts! Wonderful, wonderful stuff- where did it feature?
I even see that's there's a little .. I think his name was Errol? flying around the outside of the map <3 loved that little dragon.
"My character has grey eyes."
"Let me see your sheet."
"OK well it says blue but I wanted grey eyes."
ROLL THE DICE TO SEE IF IβM GETTING DRUNK
(sigh) *rolls some dice* Yeah, you are!
ARE THERE ANY GIRLS THERE?

That sucks- also, eBay's percentage take is crazy nowadays.
Let's not talk about the brokenness of multiclassing in 5e π
It went from an option saying "hey this isn't at all balanced but here's how you can do it," to an assumption that it's always allowed, and now it's core in 5e24.
Is there a short summary of how TOR handles it?
My favorite way of dealing with long rest spam has been to decouple long rests from sleep. Whatever the GM wants to make a long rest, be it two uninterrupted days or a week, as soon as you say "sleeping doesn't = long rest," it becomes easier to manage PC resources.
I heard that just before 4e's release, someone (don't know who) decided that monsters didn't have enough HP and everything's HP was upped a significant amount (which then resulted in some painful HP bloat)- any truth to that bit of hearsay?

Thanks for the art shares!
Reading old stuff like this is fascinating
Not "hey hobbits have a -2 to strength saves so that's rough," it's "hey putting your self in a hobbit mindset can be challenging 'cuz nothing is sized for them: furniture's too large, meals are too small"

Thank you! I misremembered more folk adding to the Fan Made section, I'll have to look into adding my own :D
@vjhcreations.bsky.social Do you still have that fan-expended google sheet that you made of the Arcadia 8 monster reagents? I remember it being posted at some point year(s) ago, but couldn't find it.
