They have refused to comment to other journalists as to if they are even still providing care: :Mount Sinai Health System declined to comment, as did the publicly run NYC Health and Hospitals. Mayor Zohran Mamdani's office declined to comment further on the matter.:

They've repeatedly refused to commit to that, they refused to commit to it in repeated requests for comment with respect to stories I've written, and they've refused to commit to it in this video here.
The issue isn't whether H+H has some trans youth services listed on a webpage. It's whether Mamdani has directed H+H to actively absorb the large wave of displaced patients from NYU Langone and Mount Sinai's closures. And the answer to that, based on everything I can find, is no, even in this video.
Mamdani cannot run on a campaign of fighting the gender affirming care bans and forcing other private hospitals to fight if he's not willing to direct his own agency to fight as well.
He minced no words on this.
He can direct H+H to provide care right now and to absorb the trans youth patients from the other hospitals.
He has not done so, and his admin refuses to do so in this interview.
Because they have repeatedly refused to commit to this step, and in the video, they refuse to commit to it there too.
Link the timestamp where she says public hospitals are providing trans youth care right now to the patients being displaced at these hospitals.
Yeah, at most she says that they have looked at it as a potential option, but that is immediately followed by the statements about how there are concerns about that and how they have to balance it with "protecting care for everyone"
Just rewatched and no, they don't say at all that H+H is absorbing trans youth patients. Give the time stamp.
And in fact right after she says that it could be a path, she makes the statement that I point out in my original tweet, that it's part of the game they are playing with the federal government and they have to balance it with protecting care "for everyone."
What timestamp? I just rewatched it and I am not hearing them say that at all, and H+H has refused to commit to doing so.
She says "it's a path" but that is speaking about hypotheticals for how they could handle it, not that its actively being done. AFAIK H+H is NOT absorbing patients.
You can sue to prevent that. It’s a threat not supported by law. People are suing and winning. Don’t capitulate before you fight. The city should follow state law on this. And the city should fight. Mamdani promised.
I’ve long suspected this and it’s why I’ve been pushing for comment. Now it’s pretty much exactly as I thought.

Like… I’m glad they’re finally saying it. It’s an active decision to not direct this. It’s a capitulation. How can Mamdani be mad at NYU if his hospital system is making the same decision?
Listened to this at 6 minutes in or so. It’s not directly stated, but it appears the reason that Mamdani has not directed H+H to absorb trans patients is out of fear of the federal government. “It’s part of the game we have to play with the federal government .”
It’s the EXACT logic NYU is using.

9. One possibility is that the more extreme HB 1442 is designed as cover for HB 1217—making that bill appear moderate by comparison and improving its chances of earning a signature. Another is that Republicans believe they can pressure Ayotte into signing.
