I mean it’s DEBUSSY, there is no bad there

One person is like β€œI was raised in a classical music household so I can tell you it’s not impressive” and like, so what you’re saying is you did not understand one single thing about classical music.

None of these people is ever gonna successfully rob a casino, I’ll say that much

There’s a whole thread about people saying Clair de Lune is mid and I am calling the police.

Hey, all Betsy Ross could do was sew.

This is one of many reasons I am so frustrated with democrats for agreeing with the framing on Covid when they *know* better. Their capitulation to β€œyou do you” has done extreme harm, not just to individuals, but to the bonds that hold civilization together.

It is also a moral issue because unvaccinated people are dangers to other people. The reaction to Covid, where we opted to abandon vulnerable people, has weakened our understanding of societal responsibility near the breaking point. MAGA nihilism has not helped.

I think making 95 year old museum curators say β€œbestie” and β€œpeep this, chat” is elder abuse.

(But to your point it’s taken 3 movies for most people to notice some of the same issues with Ari Aster, who also comes from wealth)

Absolutely agree that women will always get criticism men do not. But I will say in the recent crop of female filmmakers, Chloe Zhao, Greta Gerwig, Kelly Reichart, and Celine Song haven’t faced the same type of criticism for having harmful perspectives, even though they also swing hard.

What are you saving that effort for?? The Olympics?? I didn’t see you in a bobsled. Go outside.

Millennials have no money, this *is* our retirement home. Go get laid you losers.

Sorry it is way less cool to be 20 and terminally online when you still have energy and a zest for life than it is to be 40 and online because you’re tired of actual people.

Too random and they’re very red. It really looks like blood.

It’s about 8 inches away from the corner

I guess they are more diagonal than horizontal, but it would still be odd for a spider to crawl halfway down the wall to poop and never above that level. Also no webs or anything, and it’s in the dead center of the house so not near any exterior access.

06.03.2026 06:59 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

They are horizontal

06.03.2026 06:54 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Only on that one section and only halfway down the wall? It’s also in random strips, like a scrape, not continuous trails like a slug or something. So unless the bugs are studying Jackson Pollock..,

06.03.2026 06:54 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I’ve really got no explanation on this one. I can only assume that sometime in the last 35 years, someone suffered a traumatic incident with a blackberry bush and died against the wall.

06.03.2026 06:53 πŸ‘ 7 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

The door opens in the other direction, so it’s not rubbing up against that wall. There nothing on the wall except a painting further down, not above the streaks. There are no streaks anywhere else in the hall.

06.03.2026 06:50 πŸ‘ 8 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

Because it starts more than halfway down the wall, it doesn’t seem like a leak from the ceiling - there’s nothing on the upper half of the wall, and again the streaks are random, disconnected splatters, so dripping wouldn’t look like that

06.03.2026 06:48 πŸ‘ 7 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

They’re randomly placed from the middle of the wall down. So if, say, someone with a cut brushed past it, they would’ve had to rub an open cut against it like a bear scratching on a tree, and to our recollection, neither of us have done this.

06.03.2026 06:47 πŸ‘ 7 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Well. Guess what we noticed today.

The streaks are back.

06.03.2026 06:46 πŸ‘ 7 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

We figured we must have brushed up against it with something when we moved in, or I paint in the next room sometimes, so maybe there’d been some on my clothes at some point and I brushed the wall. No big deal. We cleaned it off.

06.03.2026 06:46 πŸ‘ 6 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

About a year ago we noticed weird rust colored streaks on just one small segment of our hallway wall, right outside the bedroom door.
