Good question! The quick answer is pure aesthetic to add to the weird factor. The longer answer is that she's been changed on such a level, her teeth being being different signifies that the changes go beyond the surface
Charlie discovering her body has changed into some strange techno-organic suit. She's in various stages of denial. Panicked, scared, trying to hide it, and just waiting to wake up from the fever dream that is her life.
Playing Charlie in WoD made me thik about her original canon a bit more so here have some sketches I cleaned :D

Charlie walks away from the warehouse, doing her best to quietly hold in her feelings about learning something, rather big. The undisputed fact that the supernatural is real. And she's being normal about it.
Aster (pailknight's character) later joins her, and offers her an outlet to vent her frustration. She offers Charlie a pen to throw. She takes it and whips it across the pavement to no satisfaction.
Turns out playing WoD is what finally gets me to practice/ experiment with actually making comics again. Go figure. These two arent immediately sequential, just imagine theres a page or two missing. Context in ALT text.

A green and purple sci-fi suit of armour that looks very bug-like, hence the name, Mantis. There are several quirky poses of her being a bit of a menace. All to function as reference material (front back side views)
Wanted to update the design of an older character of mine, Mantis! She's my stupid little baby girl and I love her so much. Despite her bug theme, she's not a bug funny enough. It's a mystery.
