Randomised ambient one shots around the listener position is still one of my favourite atmosphere-making tools/tricks. I really love painting ambience moods like this, especially if they’re spatialised through the reverb busses too!
I have cured myself from shingles by repeatedly hurling myself down the side of a mountain. Not sure if this is standard practice but it’s worked for me!
