In this black and white photograph, a clown mask sits on a car seat in the dark, with only the mask and the patterned seat illuminated. I took this image for a photography class assignment titled "Masks" in 1978 while a university student. I took the photograph while sitting in my car at night, with only a street lamp as a light source. To create the eyes on the mask, I cut out my eyes from a self-portrait photograph and glued them onto the inside eye sockets of the mask.

Thank you for saying this. I never have respected Jenkins’ opinions about anything NWSL related. She’s been consistently wrong about many teams. And she’s definitely got a biased against the Washington Spirit for some reason.
